I don't want to go to my grave accepting a system that pushes working people into bankruptcy just to pay medical bills. That allows big polluters to ravage the environment. That spends more on war, war, war than on finding cures for diseases. That ignores and shuns the homeless.

I don't want to go to my grave accepting a system that shrugs at the massacre of schoolchildren and that gives unfettered power to gun extremists.

I don't want to go to my grave being one of those who accepted injustice and suffering. One of those stuck settling for half measures. I'm in my 50s. I'm changing. I'm learning. I'm growing. The less time I have on earth, the more intent I am to be part of REAL change.

Happy for the sentiment but amazed people think any of these things is “moving left.” This is basic humanity. Once upon a time, Rs & Ds mostly agreed on the problems but varied in how we thought they should be solved. Ridiculous that we have to argue about any of this.

A system that alliows elderly people to go hungry. A system that allows the wealthy to exploit the working people. A system that allows corporations to answer only to their investors.
-
Just an addendum: FINANCIAL investors, because workers invest and build the country with their sweat and are completely ignored.
