Are you a parent Dan? I can't fathom you'd deny what has been done to migrant kids is torture. Terms like "zero tolerance" or "family separation" can't mask the atrocity of stealing children from mothers and fathers.https://twitter.com/baseballcrank/status/1177300735828119554 …

It would be nice if we stopped doing the thing where we just change the meaning of words in order to say something is bad. https://twitter.com/peterdaou/status/1177299754587480064 …

Exactly. Any American forced to undergo the conditions of these immigrants would describe it as nothing short of torture.

Did none of these people lose their parents or family, for even a moment, as a child? On a real and primal level, separation can mean death. Emotions respond accordingly. It's torture.

Hey Pete, Are we supposed to let kids in that aren't with their parents but actually with someone who has purchased them? @baseballcrank

But when you’re confronted by a mentality that says, “if you don’t like it stay in your own country,” there are no words that will convince.

For some , need to feel how things are . All these immigrants are looking for a better future for children and family. Pain is easy to understand, enduring pain is a life time experience.

I can’t even begin to imagine how terrified those babies are. Freezing cold. Told that their parents don’t want them. Not speaking the language. No clue what’s going on. Put in front of a judge at 5 years of age. ALONE! Terrified = terror.
