But it's not unpopular. It's growing more unpopular, though, the more prominent Dems offer a false second path of waiting until the 2020 election. That will be too late. If not prosecuted in the right manner--impeachment--then Trump will hammer opponents with his "innocence".

If it will get him out of office, or if the process with help make the case for voting him out in 2020, they should pursue it by all means. However if it is near-certain to NOT get him ousted AND mightl help his re-election, that's not effective leadership.
