Every OEM operating and indeed sellling in the UK has various plans drawn up for Brexit. I wonder how seriously Nissan took the 20% market share objective plan. Its decades since Ford had that. Now Ford at just over 10%, Volkswagen about 8.5%, Vauxhall just under 8%

Hitting 20% market share in UK, up from 4% is VERY ambitious - one could say quite crazy... I do not believe that this can be the actual plan Nissan is going to execute...

Phrased like that it is quite crazy. This is what they are really saying; "The only way Nissan's UK plants can be viable under WTO rules is if Nissan can capture 20% of the UK market."

Do you think this was explored because, for a mainstream brand, making money under the 2020 and 2025 Co2 regs is impossible?

And does anybody know how Nissan can increase their UK sales by 500%? And if they fail, do the plants close? If Nissan went on Dragons Den with those sales projections, they would be sent packing.
