Peter: Great expose. Reminds me of the infiltration-expose where psychologists posed as mentally-healthy-behavior-exhibiting patients in mental institutions but couldn’t get released because their doctors interpreted their behavior as denial, refusing treatment, posing, etc.

Based on cursory looks at the journals in the video, if those are the respected journals (I couldn't find impact factors for 2 of them, one was 0.7 and one was 1.2), they need to work on that. One calls itself a forum! These are low tier, possibly predatory "journals".

I have issues with the editorial boards as well, but when I look at journals (we get requests to submit frequently), if there is no impact factor and/or there are questionable academic backgrounds on the boards, that is a huge red flag. Both were issues in these journals

This “rape culture” journal was retracted and based on the terms of submittal they broke their contract by fraudulently faking their identities

Me. Pluckrose, can you provide, for the sake of open debate, what you provided the publishers? Did you just send an article and it was published immediately? Did you claim sources and peer review?

They’re not being transparent here at all. Try asking them who funded the study.

As a quantitative social scientist I've been pushing back on this for over a decade. This is important stuff.
