    I've been seeing more and more popular open source projects like fall into non-maintenance because of time, effort, or other issues on the maintainer's part. With companies picking up the slack there's bound to be a reckoning on how many man-hours are being donated to OSS

    The individually-maintained source ecosystem has an expiration date and it is fast approaching. So many of the tools we use today (for free) rely on the herculean effort of a small group of individuals; this is, quite frankly, an unsustainable model

    Not only are you not owning up to the fact that you're too chickenshit to talk to your employees honestly, but you're sowing seeds of discontent between peers. Using fake rumors or pretending to talk to other people about an employee then using that facade is disingenuous

    Using the "I've heard some complaints..." tactic as a way of passive-aggressively confronting your employees with problems that YOU as a manger are having is one of the absolute worst management styles.

    Instead of firing Jay Gruden, should Washington not have first fired the training staff that can't seem to keep any key players on the field for more than 2 games at a time? Is going after the training staff some sort of NFL taboo b/c no one is talking about the injuries

    . is a high attrition rate of a team like Washington (2nd most injured over the past 4 seasons) the responsibility of the training staff -- medical/trainers, strength and conditioning, etc. -- the players themselves, or simply acts of god?

    feature request for : be able to filter jobs by government clearance requirements. scrolling through hundreds of jobs that require a clearance to find the 10% that don't is exhausting, especially in the DC area.
