Day 2. It rained again by the bridge. I threw a rock to see if the serpent would wake. No response from the eater of moons that slumbers beneath the murky river. I have yet to convince it to partake of my body no matter how much I soak up the moonlight. Maybe tomorrow. #bacounawa
There wasn't much going on in Tau Proxima 5. Aside from the unceasing downpour of liquid nitrogen against the glass, Oreil could barely entertain himself without thinking of his previous life on Earth. He wished Suna volunteered with him. The room could have used a little warmth.
I awoke before the dream unmade me. Still, it creeps behind my conscious thought, inviting me to prod its depths just as it were when I shook the dust from my boots as I stood over the shallow grave of my kindred spirit. I awoke before the dream unmade me. Wait a minute- #looped
Her hair glistened from purple to burnt orange as I confessed that humans could not change their bodies at will. She tugged on my chains as she beckoned me closer. Her glare softened as her curiosity grew. "What can you do then," she asked me. I couldn't give a reply. #Highlight
Last week, writing from the perspectives for pre-established characters from the Bible felt daring at best, cookie-cutter at worst. It felt like a cheat to write, honestly. This week, will try something different and go with some original ideas, more like snippets. #reflections
A man is dragged out from the temple pulpit to the edge of town. His calm acceptance marred by sharp winces of pain as the indignant pelt him with stones. His gaze reaches that of a young lad, gathering and guarding everyone else's belongings; his clarity met only by fury. #Acts
The jar tucked snug in her arms, she walks huddled to the village well. Beads of sweat drip down her cheeks as the noonday sun belittles her attempts to shield her face from the wives. Despite herself, she cracks a smile until she notices the man sitting beside the well. #Gospel
His men have their hands on their hilts, ready to strike at his command. He stands over the anointed one who slumbers unguarded even as he who branded him as an usurper chased him down to claim his head. He hesitates before giving the order to leave the royal untouched. #Samuel
He sees his son walk away, in the opposite direction from the camp. He tries to follow him but he skids as slick blood coats the sole of his sandals. He can hear a low keening howl, it is his own burdened voice. He has never experienced sorrow for the dead before. #Genesis #bruh
He grips the jagged edges of the rock with such ferocity that his hand starts bleeding. He barely feels the trickle, his body tense as his kin lay prone before him. The shock in his brother's eyes slacken not unlike the lamb that was just offered to their Creator. #Genesis #bruh
Everyone starts somewhere. My journey starts in less than three hundred characters. A well of expression compressed in miniscule space, with the danger of the virtual text becoming compromised by the azure flock of biased judgment. A challenge to better a skillset gathering rust.
