Pulling for to keep her lead as mail in ballots are counted today. She stands up for women in Harrisburg like nobody else, which is why "alleged" skid mark on the Dem Party Daylin Leach supporters continue their harassment.

Some of you might have received disgusting mailers in your inbox over the past few days, paid for a by a group claiming supporting my opponent. Well, get your pen and paper ready while I connect the dots for you. ⬇️ katiemuthforpasenate.com/response?fbcli

Maybe also because he defended Epstein and has also been accused of child rape 🤷‍♀️

While it's a good idea given our circumstances, the Amber-alert like Active Shooter Alert Act is such a dystopian response to uncontrollable gun violence against children and impotent (despite overfunding) police department responses.

So the solutions are twofold: 1) honor past treaties and return lands to their rightful owners. 2) don't hold institutions in positions of absolute power against morality. There is historical precedent for the governmental disregarding of SCOTUS decisions with impunity. /6

But why do we believe in the righteousness of these institutions? Have the current incarnations met our expectations of appointment? Do we really believe we should be following rulings on our rights from likely sexual predators? Looking back, were past courts also problematic? /5

Many of us have been propagandized from our youth, in which this relative calm in SCOTUS has occurred, about the sanctity of courts. But we need to lead with our minds, not our socialization, and be critical about whether we believe in the sanctity of our gov't institutions. /4

We have been recently placated by a relatively moderate SCOTUS, but historically extreme aconstitutional decisions were not uncommon (e.g. Korematsu v. United States). We aren't obligated to put partisan appointees over the constitution or, more importantly, morality. /3

Conservatives and US colonialists have repeatedly throughout history disobeyed SCOTUS decisions related to Native American sovereignty. The court doesn't hold absolute power. Much of this land doesn't absolutely belong to the court per it's own rulings. /1

I've been thinking a lot about this story from Penn, power academic institutions wield over their students/trainees, requirement of immediate reporting & the expectation that even child victims of abuse be perfect witnesses, crime scenes & people, lest they be cast as liars.

It’s a funny thing about the truth. No matter how hard powerful institutions and people try to manipulate it, it stays the same. Truth is something that cannot be changed. A thread. #MackenzieFierceton newyorker.com/magazine/2022/

These types of movements would have a harder time gaining traction if there were less nuggets of truth in the conspiracy theories. Calling out machinations of the global elite, holding sexual predators in positions of power and their enablers to account would be a good start.

If she or someone like her had been able to report on the Epstein story back in 2007, public opinion likely would've been different and dozens of children wouldn't have been raped. Having survivors report on sexual abuse is the best way to remove bias against the sea of misogyny.

I have the priviledge of tweeting this because I'm not currently running for office. It is important we all take a look at our own biases as how we view others' frustrations, especially reporters. Journalists, even when trying to be objective, shape the narrative of our democracy

When I was running for office, I was interviewed by Weigel. I had a good experience with the interview but was upset that he cast me as "furious", undercutting the validity of my frustrations with machine politics.

If wanted to make amends, he'd speak out against the firing of , or at least supporting that she was right on a lot of fronts. The 's ban on her reporting on sexual abuse bc she publicly opposes it is absurd. A 🧵
