Eh, `/api/v1.0/foo` and `/docs/foo?version=123` mean pretty different things; I'm okay leaving it to the app to decide what's best.
Isn't it kind of weird that HTTP URLs don't have a place to name a specific version of a resource?

yes! Super-duper weird. It's unfortunate more effort hasn't been put into versioning since that supports caching.
