I think being in nature is refuge, and I do enjoy getting to know the land, but a big part of road trips is just stimulation.

As for solitude, I don’t know. It’s familiar. But it’s more often genuine connection that would bring me energy and a sense of belonging. Which is confusing, because people are also exhausting.
