Help I’m seeing cellular automata everywhere I look. Every cell its own nested CA, fractally - most of them conceptual, not physical. But the principle is always the same. Physical reality is just those CA’s that we have senses to directly observe. Arbitrary, really.

Your body is a system that exists in the larger physical context of its atoms. Your sense of self or favorite food etc is a system that runs over the space created by your neural structures. They’re all real, all interconnected.

We act like only those systems that touch physical dimensions are real but that’s so obviously wrong. It’s just that so much of our individual realities are entirely constrained by local systems we can’t share.

There’s a good article introducing some of the ideas of ANT called, I think, “Who Killed Rover”, but I can’t find it anywhere.
