So here's my (optimistic) philosophical take for 2019: we're going to see an increase in the popularity of process philosophy because it allows us to answer a number of questions that more traditional models don't even let us ask.

I do not have the brain for slogging through philosophy books, I've not read whitehead myself. For me it's all about deltas accumulating over time, and about functions being defined by their internals rather than from on high.
