I just mean it's sort of the core dialectic of unexamined incentive, right? It's not intrinsically bad it's just how we do. The non-stop stream of unfathomably powerful social consequences springs out of this gap.

I mean the ways in which often, when we're solving problems, we're solving the problems that someone making a lot of money has posed to us, and their understanding of the problem space is much larger than ours. This wasn't meant as a critique, just a joke-of-opportunity.

Sure. I've (almost) always sought out environments where I can be critically involved in questions of why/how/for whom. In the best cases the whole enterprise is engaged in dialectical learning on this level. That's what's given me the courage to try my own hand at an enterprise.
