In answer to your question. It's not ok. If we are discussing medical practice involving a child, then it's up to the parents/guardians to make a judgement.

We believe the owner of the genitals should be the one making the judgment, when old enough to consent (eg 21), as he must live with the results. A parent also can't predict what values will be important to him when he grows up (eg religious, aesthetic etc). It was forced on me

Its not hypocrisy, males & females are very different down below, women have nothing to circumcise, men however can lose the foreskin, its extra & can be removed without injuring the man or disabling a man's sexual ability or pleasure.

Men and women both have foreskin. Its called a clitoralhood on a female. It is sensitive and protects the glans clitoris. It is exactly analagous to the male foreskin, which is extremely sensitive and protects the glans of the oenis
