Feminists are pretty big on bodily autonomy, mate. But tell me more about how feminists have to fight a practice that originated in patriarchal religions and was popularised by exclusively male doctors, while MRAs spend more time harassing feminists than they do on circumcision. https://twitter.com/ReedNelson9/status/1194034476482883584 …

«But tell me more about how feminists have to fight a practice that originated in patriarchal religions and was popularised by exclusively male doctors»....Isn’t fighting patriarchal institutions your bread and butter?

And feminism does indeed address deep-rooted patriarchal ills - whilst MRAs have done nothing to end practices that harm men.

The phrase is men’s rights activist. If thats not what their doing then call them something else. MRA is a term used to silence men from demanding true equality. Feminism hasbasically become the Boogie man patriarchy they rail against.

MRA is a pretty accurate term. Most MRAs care nothing for men, except as a filter for attacking feminism. In this thread, you've been given examples of feminists opposing both FGM and MGM. Yet you appear to have ignored that in order to demonise feminism.

Yeah absolutley. This type of feminism is orwellian. The term MRA is orwellian.

In what way? You're complaining feminism doesn't care about MGM, you have examples of feminists telling you that they do, meanwhile you nitpick the term MRA and ignore that they do virtually nothing for men.

The OP: «But tell me more about how feminists have to fight a practice that originated in patriarchal religions and was popularised by exclusively male doctors» My arguement was the patriarchy IS EXACTLY the bread and butter of feminism.
