No, it has more to do with the fact that her ego won't allow her to admit what she did. She'd rather not lose an argument than admit she made a mistake. Twitter is filled with ppl like that unfortunately. It sucks that innocent children are at the mercy of ignorant parents

If she just admitted from the start the self evident truth that circumcision is a violation of the baby boys bodily autonomy then we could move on to the premise that she really wants to focus on about grown women not having autonomy.

Babies don’t have autonomy. They do not have the cognitive ability to be autonomous. I’m sure my daughter didn’t want to have 3 lumbar punctures and an IV in her head when she had meningitis, but she was a newborn so we thought it better to make the decisions for her.

Are you really comparing that to a non-therapeutic surgery?! You're either a good troll or stupid parent. I hope for your child's sake, it's the former.

For some people, it is therapeutic.

I haven’t heard of many cases of newborns needing therapeutic circumcision to remedy some disease that was so dire that the procedure couldn’t be postponed to a time when the person could at least take Tylenol after the procedure. Imagine the agony infants go through

So just because you haven’t heard Of it, you think it doesn’t exist?? Also, Babies are numbed before circumcision in every civilized hospital. At least be informed.

Studies show 55% of circumcisions in the US are performed with no anesthesia. Over 99.5% of intact men will never have a foreskin problem requiring the surgery over their *entire lives*, never mind just as newborns.

Most countries don’t routinely circumcise anyway. The US is the anomoly
