If you are a fellow intactivist, I respect you for that, but do NOT shame circumcised men just because they are circumcised. Most likely, it was not their choice! If you want to make a difference for baby boys, stop shaming and start educating! #MeToo

I call what was done to me in infancy mutilation. I don't want to sugar coat it and understate the damage that is being done to boys without their consent. I'm not doing this to make circumcised men feel bad, but to be clear on the severity of the damage.

Yes, that is understandable. Unfortunately the tweet I saw today called all military men “violent circumcised slaves”. I have two brothers in the military and tweets like that are disgusting and absolutely not helpful in any way, not to mention, it makes no sense.

That was my tweet. I wasn’t shaming anyone, but i do think there is a real connection between the mindless forever wars the US perpetuates, its inherent violence and genital mutilation

I mesn we can’t tip toe around the fact that this is seriously damaging. Even if only a small fraction of men become violent from it in a whole society it adds up. And if you havn’t noticed the US is an incredibly violent, callous, country thats a danger to most of the world

Ss is the middle east and northern Africa, the other two areas with rampant circumcision rituals.
