I genuinely do not understand how we allow male circumcision in this country anymore.

Then there is also a reduced rate of various infections from being circumcised, including a 50-60 percent less likelihood of being infected with hiv. https://www.who.int/hiv/pub/malecircumcision/neonatal_child_MC_UNAIDS.pdf …

Untrue. Falsehoods such as this are how people are still getting away with this mutilation.

I will rely on an organization such as the WHO to be more factual and objective in their analysis of the studies and data.

"50-60% less likely to be infected with HIV" While true, a responsible adult male can take numerous steps to ensure they don't put themselves at risk of HIV, especially those in USA (education/resources). Anyone who doesn't practice hygiene is at risk for disease.

Anyone who doesn’t practice hygiene is at greater risk for disease, but the studies referenced by WHO also includes those practice proper hygiene. Those are part of the statistics and results.

Cutting off my testicles would make me 100% not get testicular cancer. However, I'd say it's a bit of a drastic step just to avoid a disease. HIV isn't nearly as prevalent in the US as it is in Africa, where circum. is practiced most. It's a completely preventable disease.

US has better medical facilities, better water purification, cleaner food and more food and better overall living conditions too. The number of circumcisions being performed in the US is declining but still in 70+%. The studies used by the WHO would take that into account.

I live in one of the majority of countries that doesn't circumcise. US is barbaric when it comes to this. You're totally blind to the fact that its genital mutilation becaus most of you have never even seen a foreskin let alone understand its importance. STUPID COUNTRY
