Well its not really like that. Most of the circumcision is performed by WOMEN in the tribe. And its just culturally normalized. LIke in the US male circumcision is culturally normal and no one bats an eye about it.

and also all those countries that circumcise women also circumcise men. And the most horrible forms of FGM have their male counterpart, like skinning the entire penis. The whole genital cutting issue of any sex is just terrible.

I think what shes trying to say is that boys cant still feel an orgasm ,while being circumcised, while if a female has her clitoris cut off she can no longer ever have an orgasm ... not defending either one at all.....

the most common form of (what we would call) FGM does not remove the clitorus, and many practictioners argue it is less harmful than male circumcision (and looking at the evidence, I Agree)

I don’t srgue with this. I’m just telling you what they say. If we can cut boys they say, why can’t we cut girls

I don’t think so. Pointinf out the US’s hipocrisy is right. But the application is wrong. Its not that «they cut boys so why can’t we cut both girls and boys» its that Cutting someone who can’t consent is wrong, regardless of gender

Cutting the clitorus is religious cultural and considered hygenic by those who practice it. Doesn’t make it right any more than the religious cultural and hygenic excuses for cutting off the foreskin
