No Jodi, you're the liar. I have never claimed to work for Greenpeace because I never worked for Greenpeace. I'm often accused of it and correct the record whenever I can. It's lazy by critics like yourself and that reviewer who don't care about facts.

The bald-face lies are becoming really fascinating to me. Do they think their followers just believe anything they say? Do they not care that they are lying?
@careygillam says flat out I don't review other books, instantly disproved by looking at--my other reviews. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯1 reply 3 retweets 15 likes -

Your review of Whitewash was very fair and appropriately critical. I like all of your book reviews.

Carey claimed that I don't review other books, which is a bald-faced lie because you can see my other Amazon reviews--publicly. Why would she lie about something so easily disproved in about 30 seconds?pic.twitter.com/ZtlGxeMQQS

if by facts you mean limited to Bayer’s world view and Bayer approved papers and researchers? Gillam looking at wide range of data — and in particular the sociology and political ecology of the situation— not simply your reductionist contextualess metric and talking points ;)

BRB Jodi, too busy actually doing science and helping farmers feed people. Happy Holidays!

Not so busy as to make spurious claims about an award winning investigative journalist nor to speak with such authority without the accompanying credentials or experience is pretty rich. Have a lovely holiday!

Ps, not that my PhD in Plant Breeding matters as “credentials” to you, as I’m sure you’ll just pull out the patented “shill card,” but I have published multiple scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals pertaining to maize epigenetics and transcriptomics, so here ya go :)pic.twitter.com/cCqNoI0Zfb

How ironic to be called a reductionist by someone who has no idea about how many objectives a plant breeder has to juggle when setting goals and following through on them to develop new plant varieties.

It is used as a derogatory, attempting to belittle others. In fact, it is the only known logically consistent manner to understand the universe around us. Even the vaunted "Holistic" methods are under pinned by reductionist information and are actually synthesis, not holism.

I know. It is one of Jodi's favorite epithets. If you can't look at each component in isolation, to see what is doing what, you will have very little success in addressing problems holistically. You might as well be spitting in the wind.

No one involved in systems complexity work dismisses the value of reductionist perspectives es for revealing certain important perspectives. Why digress here— Scott denied Gillam’s research as factual and I’m challenging him on that comment. Let’s try to stay focused folks ;)
