In 1979, science sociologists wrote a book called Laboratory Life, an anthropological study of a Nobel-winning lab @salkinstitute. We are long overdue for an updated version.

One of my biggest dreams is to help construct a hybrid of Bell Labs and
@ycombinator for biomedical research. In my lab, everyone works in small teams since projects need co-founders. It would be wonderful to explore a PI co-founder model and incentive structureShow this thread
