It has been a wonderful place for our visuals team to explore their curiosity and tell the stories they're passionate about telling. Our community has been celebrated in these pages. We've introduced Hoosiers to their neighbors.

Since then, we've produced a photo page every Sunday. And all of them have been full color doubletrucks that are 100% ad free (hope I didn't jinx myself!). We've told stories of athletes and artists, friendship and family, hope and humanity, and so much more.

There was some conversation as to what it might look like. It might be a full color doubletruck some weeks. Other times it might be a single black and white page. But there would always be some space dedicated to visual display in the Sunday paper.

🧵🧵In 2021, was talking about adding some print pages to our Sunday section. I probably looked like an excited toddler, ready to jump to pitch the idea of adding a weekly photo page. Luckily for me, our editor had the same idea.

Short thread here. Stick around for the last one. Says a lot about who I am, for better or worse, and I get it: Some won't like it. But if you know me at all - which is one of the two points of this thread, and both are coming soon - you know this: I don't care. 1/
