On an absolute scale (vs common asm syntax for other ISAs) it's kinda bleh. But vs that Intel monstrosity I'll take it any day.

What would you prefer instead? Intel syntax? Bleh. Not everybody started on Windows. I've been using Linux and other Unix clones for ~15 years now and that's where I learnt how to program (with GNU toolchain).
