`x + toint - toint` looks like it'd push all the fractional bits off the bottom of the mantissa. Subtracting x, comparing that to things, and then adding it back would be to fix where the FPU rounding behavior doesn't match the round() spec, I guess?

Not that it solves the mystery for me, but isn’t that last + supposed to be a -? y = x + toint - toint - x; Now I’m wanting to do some investigation.
