I think the #1 thing that drives me crazy about GC debates is that people don’t realize just how important bump allocation is for perf.

Nursery ~= bump-allocator. If your GC doesn't even have a nursery, sure, but any reasonable one does. The issue of graduating-from and evacuating a nursery is .. a different story.
