I'm saying the *plan* was to take all the resources you might put into scrubbing Gecko, into Servo written in Rust. I think they didn't think it would take this long or be this hard. I mean, we have specs now right?

My sense is that there's a bunch of intransigence in Rust's design, in terms of just not solving certain classes of problems. Sounded like how people talk about Go and generics. He wasn't begging for C++, but he was _not_ happy about certain limitations.
