Remember, M:N threading (like Go) isn’t anything new. It was tried by NGPT in the ‘90s and abandoned because it was inferior to 1:1.

I just remember some jvm with m:n that was slow. That is hardly the case anymore so what are the drawbacks that still exists?

I like observing that Go's scheduler has slowly grown new features to begin approaching parity with OS schedulers!
