I'm starting to rethink rust. I just needed &[][..] (or &b""[..]) (where the .. isn't eliding anything, it's literally there).

Overall, I'm finding nom much more of a hassle than Haskell's attoparsec, mostly due to its clumsy monad syntax (do_parse!).

Except when dealing with generics & when matching over. It's far from a perfect system, it's not even integrated with traits.
