Ultimately any truly robust intra-process fault tolerance mechanism will be practically indistinguishable from multiprocess.

(We’ve thought about this a lot for WebGL remoting, etc. Shmem—e.g. sharing textures—has to be managed very carefully to be robust.)

That is not going to happen. Microsoft is killing IPC with UWP.

I think it’s pretty unlikely Microsoft would kill something needed by VS Code. :)

I think Midori showed the gold standard here: extreme multi-process, 100% async, easily shared immutable memory, memory safe
