Windows User-Mode Scheduling seems to clearly be the best version of M:N scheduling. Why isn’t it ever brought up?

Windows 7, so 2009? Not that long — NetBSD in 2004, Solaris in 1997, & the original paper was from 1991.

Anyway, scheduler activations were a neat idea that seemed to never quite work in practice, so I'm glad that's apparently not the case.
