.@jhripley Especially fake types (long pointer vs. pointer) that you had to make up in order to pretend to be compatible with x86 real mode.

Haha, at least on Win32 all the machine capabilities were exposed, at least for the intrepid. :)

Not really—you had to go through GDI for basic drawing until DirectX :(

I think people forget that the web gives you a full GUI environment. Comparing that to writing CLI tools is not at all reasonable.
