from a language design perspective the ubiquitous overloading of . to mean both field access and method calls is soooo frustrating
Been suggested many times, always rejected due to having to import every method individually being a nonstarter.

It occurs to me that maybe I should clarify: I didn't mean that existing languages doing this is frustrating.

I meant that trying to follow the syntactic precedent when designing a new language is frustrating.
