Could you let users of the library opt in to a faster, less compliant mode?
-
I was thinking about adding a function to approximate a blurred rounded rect like NanoVG does.

This is super cool but just out of curiosity how is the perf compared to CPU rendering here?
-
Usually about 3x faster on most of my benchmarks

Wait but the CPU time there is also slow and presumably that’s not because of the blurs, and there doesn’t look to be that many primitives here. What’s taking the CPU time?
-
Mostly font code. Font outlines get loaded from disk every frame and there’s no glyph cache yet.

Very exciting, thanks! Are you aware of any activity bringing it to gfx-rs?
-
Not right now, but I would like a gfx-rs backend for pathfinder_gpu at some point

When can we see Pathfinder in Firefox Nightly behind an about:config flag? :)
