Google representatives disagreeing with one-another is the _smallest_ problem here. The big problem is when someone from another vendor raises some objection to something Google is doing and gets dogpiled by 50 Googlers (in a WG of 100 people).

And it's not the only time something like that has happened: there have been a number of occasions where those of us outside of Google have been told, "but you could've engaged with us! raised these concerns!", yet every single time we try and engage it's just being spoken over.

If Googlers want us to spend our time and energy (and typically our employer's time, which we have to make some justification for) to engage earlier as to whether these features are even fundamentally good ideas, we need to feel like we're actually going to be listened to.
