Thinking about this some more, I wonder if the problem is http://properties.rs .mako for Stylo and serde for WebRender. Both generate tons of code.
It’s possible. Outside of specific libraries though idiomatic Rust tends to favor highly generic APIs (serde is an example) that can generate a lot of machine code because monomorphization. See also comparisons in https://gankra.github.io/blah/swift-abi/
