Reminder: You can’t “avoid the GC” in a GC’d language by allocating arenas and reusing objects. The GC still scans everything when it runs (especially if it’s a non-generational GC). At best you can make it run less often.

Yes! small short lived allocations are extremely fast to clean up in dotnet core. I'm using the gc api to set it to low latency mode and run it manually every 100ms. it takes .5ms to clean up up to gen 2.
