My favorite kinds of C APIs are the ones that try to make a distinction between signed and unsigned ints, but because C compilers silently convert they get it wrong and you have to cast everywhere when using a stricter language. (Looking at you, OpenGL…)

I got so angry and the zstd (jni) java API the other day - decompress() takes an int for "originalSize", and decompressedSize() returns a long.
