Software has become so vast that it contains a multitude of domains with self-contained, self-coherent regimes of practice that are hard to reconcile. You can see this even within single teams, so it’s hard to debate productively on the open seas.
I feel thankful to get to read carefully considered insights from so many perspectives, and excited at how much progress we have made even if slower than we’d like. Rust and AFL are incredible.

I'm sort of in the anti-rust camp due to some choices but saying rust doesn't offer memory safety benefits over c is just ignorant
Because better programmers are attracted to Rust than to C/C++, such that the resulting Rust code *ends up* better despite the language not *being* better.
