Finally eliminated all OpenMP usage from the basis universal encoder, so engines that don't allow OpenMP can use it. I finally found some use for C++11 (std threading, lambdas).

I had a similar issue in Pathfinder (not all my embedders want multithreading), and I solved it by introducing an Executor abstraction that a client can supply a custom implementation of if they want.
