An interesting question (that I don’t think has been really explored at all) is how to smoothly transition/scale up to the lower-level graphics APIs once beginners master canvas.

Or how to scale in the other direction, from canvas up to UI rendering frameworks like Core Animation or to game engines like Godot or Unity.

I think this is true of rect, moveTo, lineTo, etc, but the various curve APIs seem confusing to beginners, and the transform stack maybe too.

Bezier curves can be confusing, but arcs at least seem really intuitive to me, at least if you know high school level trigonometry.

Do you think canvas is a good spot to start for people reading the Pathfinder code?
