Does font-kit on wasm give access to the browser's system fonts?

No…I don’t think there’s a way to access the raw otf data, is there?

Not that I know of! So what’s a use for font-kit on wasm?

Just so that fillText()/strokeText() work in a Pathfinder+wasm canvas implementation.

Maybe it’s not worth supporting them at all in wasm Pathfinder and just using the native implementation of fillText()/strokeText() so that the system fonts are supported, but it seems like a shame.
