This is the epitome of annoying SF bashing. It's fine if you don't like the Bay Area, but only a VC trying too hard to be trendy could come to the conclusion that it's some kind of hellhole. https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/04/san-francisco-decline-failed-government-policies/ …

I’ll never defend a National Review article, they’re absolutely trash people, but you have to be blind to not see the problems SF has. I live in SF and love, but we’re doing a shitty job of housing the homeless and middle class, and every year the city feels dirtier and less safe

We have a lot of problems, sure, but SF is still a very nice place to live.

Unfortunately too many people focus on the dirtiness of FiDi/SoMA and not the rest of the citypic.twitter.com/MyxUh2wrGG

Exactly. I take walks along the waterfront in Mission Bay almost every evening and it's fantastic. Peaceful and quiet, just the sounds of the shore.

The Interior Greenbelt is my personal refuge in the city, so I guess I’m perversly glad most people don’t know about it and just say in FiDi/SoMA complaining about the poop

A lot of people think Dogpatch isn't a "real neighborhood". I'm happy for them to keep thinking that :)
