designing an ISA makes you see parallels in the weirdest places, e.g. JAL [jump and link: Rd←PC+1; PC←PC+off] is almost the same as MOVA [move address; Rd←PC+off] they differ only in configuration of two multiplexers! and so they can reasonably have a similar encoding
