What kind of cache effects? It explicitly uses the C stack as a contiguous minor generation. You just think it allocates too much / crosses too much virtual address space or something? (Wouldn't that be similar in any bump/semispace minor generation?)

How big is it? My understanding is that especially on x86 you really need activation records to be in L1. That’s only 32kB…
