Isn’t Apple effectively locked in to supporting OpenGL in perpetuity, since Safari supports WebGL?

I guess even Apple cannot afford just yanking something as widely used as OpenGL—they'll just make it a pita to use for now & yank it at some future point in time. Still, the idea is "we don't wanna deal w/this old&dated API anymore it's just not ~glam~", a very Apple

I am sure they will remove at a later version of the OS. The more shiny tech they can ship which is only supported on their own ecosystem the better for them as it locks their rich developer base and audience to them. Still, I feel sad for game developerspic.twitter.com/OujCB5J5RY
