☄️Asteroid 2021 GW4 was forecast to make a VERY close pass with Earth tonight... although the actual pass seems to have been a little closer than forecasted 😬 Dozens of videos are pouring in from all over Florida of a huge flash in the sky as GW4 (or part of it) became a meteorpic.twitter.com/UBqSUc0CUd

The Florida fireball was _not_ 2021 GW4, which is where we expected it to be. That was just a meteor.https://twitter.com/planet4589/status/1381835164414803973 …

It's a normal fireball and nothing to do with GW4

#2021GW4 made its closest approach to Earth high over the far northern hemisphere, on the sunward side of the planet, just about 18 hours ago as of this writing. The meteor that just made a fireball off of #Florida was on a very different orbit, well offset in time and space.

I saw it, or a piece of it, in Jacksonville. I thought something on fire fell from a plane. Also odd was it looked like it dropped straight down.
