I'm in Spain. To tackle cost of living here they put cap on A/C levels; lowered gas prices (£55 to fill tank here, £104 in UK) & ALL train journeys will be free until Christmas. Meanwhile Boris on 2 holidays, Truss says profit not a dirty word (re energy companies). Nice country.

Here's something fun. Reading over the LinkedIns of people you use to work with and discovering they're claiming your achievements as their own. 😂 This person didn't even get the growth %s right - I remember the numbers vividly as I wrote the monthly report.

Something that will always remain with me was that one time, when I was doing a photoshoot with former AFLW player Moana Hope, when she commented about the firmness of my two colleague's handshakes but didn't say anything about mine. 😂

You walk down the main street (La Rambla) in my town at 8am and you’ll see dozens of sweet looking older women and men sipping a morning beer and eating a croissant at the cafes. Coffee isn’t for everyone it seems.

My favourite thing in business. People that don't bother emailing, live chatting, or calling you. But jump straight to lodging a dispute with PayPal. (Fortunately, I get 1 of these in every 1000 or so customers, so no biggy. But...)

Earlier today the top headline was about how 'China's invasion of Taiwan is imminent'. Now that article is nowhere to be seen and it's a story about shoplifting at a Supercheap Auto. Man, News Ltd is low-rent.

My apartment is right in the centre. It fronts onto a high street. Seems my door step is the go-to place for buskers. And, the quality of buskers in this town is sublime. I like it very much.

Keep getting to airports too early. From train station to airside it was 12 minutes on Saturday at Barcelona El Prat. Today at Genoa Airport it was more like 5 minutes from taxi to airside.

Ok, Portofino/Santa Margherita Ligure has exceeded expectations. Expensive and lots of tourists but what a beautiful place. Spotted the yachts of Alan Sugar, Solomon Lew, and one of Putin’s mates too.

Pretty sure I saw Virgin CEO Jayne Hrdlicka walking with her husband and kid down Carre de la Força in Girona the other day. She seems to have a penchant for flashy designer stuff. This person certainly fit that bill. Anyone know if she’s on leave?

Unpopular opinion - I think MS Teams is the superior video call software on the market. Followed by Google Meets. Zoom just subjects people to Stockholm Syndrome.

Oh, Teams is down? Maybe more meetings will be become the emails they should have been. And conversations will asynchronise so as to not be honking work-sapping distractions.

… To that end, I really wish the ALP had a stronger stance on small businesses. If ALP was really pro-worker they’d absolutely want to ensure small business, which employees 40% of workers, thrived. But, you know, low union penetration in small business.

It’s as though people think jobs and livelihoods exist in a vacuum. Businesses are criticised for trying to stay in business as though they’re this ‘other’ thing. Not a thing that directly and indirectly employs people, to keep the world as we know it going round and round.

The uncritical support for Albo by the rusted on ALP voters is pretty sickening. These folk don’t want higher standards in politics. They’re hypocritical to the highest degree. We need to hold ALL politicians to account. (Disclosure: I voted Labor and am glad for the change.)

It's gotten to the point now if you needlessly* book a Qantas flight you're an idiot. * If they're the only carrier available on your route, are significantly cheaper, provide significantly better times, fair enough. But, if you could have simply booked with another airline...
