How would you argue that someone is guilty before they have been judged in a court of law? How is he not legitimate if he was elected?
-
By violating the emoluments clause (since Inauguration Day) and obstructing justice, he has violated the Constitution. Hence, illegitimate.
-
Break it down. "Legitimate" is a variation of the word "legal" - sharing the Latin root "lex". So "illegitimate" is a way to say "illegal".
-
In my view, Trump was legitimate - however vile - as of his election. But since then, having broken the "lex," he has become illegitimate.

If he has nothing to hide, then why try to halt investigations? Yates, Bharara, Comey all fired. Blocking = obstruction of justice.

Everyone deserves the presumption of innocence or else any claim to the Rule of Law is lost.
