The parental leave mentioned in the article for US-based employees works out to 3 months.

In Sweden you get 16 months to share between each partner, that means 8 months for each. You can save it up and use later

If paid parental leave is not an option, flex scheduling and telework also go a long way too. I benefited from that this year w/ my 2nd born
