The sheer weirdness of the idea of the president being a Russian agent makes it hard to take seriously. But it seems a real possibility.

It’s not treason; Russia isn’t a declared enemy of the US, which is a Constitutional requirement for that charge.

No, treason has a specific definition in the Constitution, and is the only crime so defined because founders worried about abuse.

During the Cold War we couldn’t even convict the Rosenbergs of treason and they armed the Soviets (not Russians) with nukes.
